Description:Being a 5th generation coffee farmer, Emilio Burmudes comes from a long history of coffee growers. Born and raised in Jerico, Antioquia, Don Emilio continues his family’s tradition of coffee along with his wife and son. Together they take on every aspect of the coffee’s production from growing, picking and processing. Don Emilio is dedicated to sustainable practices and has achieved Rain Forest Aliance certification as well as 4C certification. Every effort is made to use as little water as possible and only organic or naturally produced fertilizers are used on Finca La Esmeralda.
