Description: Communal wetmill in Kochere. Privately owned by Mergia Assefa. Cherries are collected from various smallholder farmers in the area. Coffee is brought to the washing station where it undergoes fermentation for 36 to 48 hours before drying on raised beds under shade. Kochere is one of the woredas in the Gedeo zone, in Coffee known as Yirgacheffe.
