Description: Indonesian coffees have been part of Bodhi Leaf since we started, but we don’t often get coffees from the Flores Island, and we almost never see anaerobically fermented lots from the island. Alas, introducing Tuang Anaerobic. The variety, Kartika, is short for Kopi Arabika Tipe Katai, which translate to Catuai Arabica Coffee. The variety was first grown in Indonesia in the 1980’s, and selected for production because of it’s high quality in the cup. This lot went through anaerobic fermentation for 12 hours still in cherry before being pulped and then finished as a washed lot. In the cup this coffee has a unique freshness to it with bold earthy characteristics. We look forward to expanding our offerings from Indonesia as more and more producers break into the specialty market.
