BEHMOR 2000AB PLUS

Made good coffee from the first roast, great coffee shortly after

I used to work as the wholesale rep for a local roaster, so I had some knowledge coming in. That said, I was not prepared for how good of coffee I would be able to roast straight out of the box. Between the manual and a few YouTube videos (including an interview with Mr. Behm himself), I was making coffee that friends were calling "the best I've ever tasted" within a couple weeks. As a bonus, the green coffee that Bodhi Leaf supplied served as a great starting point.

As mentioned by another reviewer, Bodhi's willingness to ship to Alaska at a reasonable cost is a huge win and a great way to keep us Northerners happy.

Clean Roasting

This is a very clean roaster. Chaff is very manageable and it is also 95% smokeless.
I very much like to control my roasting process and had to resort to several videos and a few trials to get it to adapt my heat and time preferences, but overall I am very happy with it.

Had the old one the new one is way better

Love this roaster! Roast are so even and well developed. I love the new beeping feature to alert you when 75% of the roast has completed. Excited to re establish myself on this roaster and create some great coffee for my friends and family.

Great Roaster! On my 2nd Behmor now.

4 years + already! I have been using the Behmor roaster for over four years now, starting with the previous model and eventually upgrading to the BEHMOR 2000AB PLUS. I purchased it directly from Bodhi Leaf. One of the main reasons I chose this model was because of its faster 2-speed drum. While there is a slight learning curve and occasional cleaning required, I have achieved excellent results with this roaster. Placed many times in the top ranks in competitions.

To manage the chaff that tends to scatter when opening the door, I have found it convenient to roast outside. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that I can roast a full pound of coffee with this model, unlike other roasters in the same price range that offer a smaller capacity. However, I have found that the best results are obtained when roasting between 200 grams to 300 grams of coffee.

I must mention that I acquired valuable knowledge on optimizing my roasting techniques through a roasting class at Bodhi Leaf. Overall, my experience with the BEHMOR 2000AB PLUS has been highly satisfactory, and I have been able to achieve consistently great roasts with it. Other roasters do smaller amounts and are easier and simpler, but not as flexible that give you as much control. Started with a pan to roast, then to a air popper for popcorn, then to the Behmor. Huge improvement.
