The Montebonito Township is located high up in mountains of Caldas, surrounded by clouds and green hillsides where agriculture - led by coffee - drives the economy. The Cooperativa de Caficultores Manizales is made up of 94 smallholder producers who farm less than 1 hectare on average, in the 1800 MASL township.
We loved the pre-ship sample of this coffee so much we literally couldn’t buy enough. But, what we did get our hands on landed at our warehouse tasting as great as we remember. This one has a great balance between delicate and traditional with notes of Nougat, Dark Chocolate, Stonefruit, and a finish like Sweet Tea with Lemon.
