Description: This coffee is produced in the region of the native Inga people, and named Nativos (“Native People” in English) accordingly. The Nativos Honey lot is a made up of coffees from various small farms in southwest of Colombia. Producers in this region, and more specifically those who contribute to this lot dedicate themselves to the cultivation of their farms, most of which are under 1 hectare. Because of this relatively small size, they are almost entirely family run operations, from growing to harvesting. Once ripe cherries are picked and sorted the coffee is pulped and mucilage is left intact for the lot to be processed as a honey.
We love how unique this lot is, the arrival stood out on a cupping table of many naturals, and exotic varieties. We get fruity notes of Melon and Raspberry, with sweetness of Sugar Cookies, and a decadent finish of Dark Chocolate.
