Description: Mirna Liceth Vasquez planted the farm in order to improve household income and provide a good education to her children, including their continued studies at university. Mirna has a huge passion for the quality of her coffee and is constantly learning about the industry such as new processes, cupping, and barista skills.
The farm name “Johelyta” comes from the name of Edgar Carrillo’s first daughter named Johely. Finca Johelyta uses sustainable and ecological production processes and is a member of a tree planting group organized by Payacal Coffee.
The farm is located in the area known as Marcala, near the town of Chinacla. Marcala has been a national benchmark of great coffee for many decades. The farm is only 2 hectares of coffee producing approximately 60 bags of coffee each year. Bodhi Leaf purchased all of this production in 2019 and has been working with Finca Johelyta for several years. We are very excited to share the passion of Mirna with you!
