Description: This lot comes from various smallholders in Bellavista, Frontera, in southern Mexico, which borders another great region for coffee in Guatemala, Huehuetenango. Coffee in this region is cultivated in forests with loads of natural flora and fauna. This lot was grown under shade trees, and producers used no polluting inputs.
Producers contributing to this lot handpick ripe cherry, and process their own coffee on traditional hand-crank pulpers and wooden fermentation tanks. After pulping the coffee is washed with clean water and then dried on patios.
Bellavista landed at Bodhi with notes of Caramel, a pop of Grapefruit, Brown Spices, and a sweet linger reminiscent of Honey.
