Increased production and education are long-term goals of the Gicherori washing station. Classes are provided to members to teach Good Agricultural Practices. Freshly picked cherries are delivered to the washing station before being pulped and resting in fermentation tanks overnight. Once complete, the coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds for 7 to 15 days.
