Kenya Ndiani visits Bodhi Leaf

This past Friday, we had the privilege of hosting Simon and Bryan, our producing partners of Kenya Ndiani! They visited our warehouse, and had the opportunity to speak with and answer questions from our customers regarding the most recent production and developments in Kenya. We brewed up the coffee from their most recent harvest, and had a great time hearing their stories of challenges and success at their operation in Africa.

Thanks so much also to our customers, who came out to visit with our producers! We’re proud to partner with them, and appreciate their commitment to relationships and sustainability! We look forward to having Bryan and Simon back at Bodhi Leaf soon, and you can look for their coffees on our green coffee listings and in each of our cafes!

Public Tasting at Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders

Two weeks ago we hosted a Public Tasting at our cafe!

Customers had a chance to taste coffees from six different countries and three major coffee growing regions. Three different processing methods were represented also, and tasters had the chance to ask questions of our staff, regarding the differences between the Washed, Honey and Natural Process Methods.

Our tasting menu included:
Colombia - Narino Fiesta - Washed
El Salvador - El Borbonal - Washed
Costa Rica - La Patricia - Honey
Ethiopia - Nitsu Ruz - Washed
Burundi - Nkonge - Natural

Sumatra - Boru Batak - Washed

Thank you to everyone who came out for the tasting. We received some valuable feedback about what you would like to learn about coffee during our public tastings in the future, and we look forward to hosting more of these types of events soon!
