These athletic socks are super comfy, we're no sock experts, but they're slightly thicker than your typical crew sock that you'd get in a pack. They're nice and sturdy and we wear them for a little pop of color in our outfit, or around the house to remind us how much we love coffee. But you could also wear them while skateboarding (as pictured), or doing algebra, or doing stand up comedy or something. Pretty much should work in most situations.
