NOW FOR THE BREWING! START THE TIMER AND ADD ABOUT 680 GRAMS OF WATER IN A CIRCULAR MOTION WITH THE KETTLE. MAKE SURE THAT ALL GROUNDS ARE SATURATED AND THAT THERE ARE NO DRY GROUNDS.

PUT THE TOP OF THE FRENCH PRESS BACK IN PLACE TO HELP PREVENT HEAT LOSS BUT DO NOT MOVE THE PRESS DOWN.

AT 4:00 MINUTES, THE COFFEE IS READY TO BE PRESSED. FIRMLY PRESS THE HANDLE, MOVING THE METAL FILTER ALL THE WAY DOWN. DO NOT PRESS TOO QUICKLY!

IMMEDIATELY POUR ALL COFFEE INTO MUGS AND/OR A CARAFE TO AVOID OVER EXTRACTION.
