BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ROAST WITH ANY MACHINE, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THOROUGHLY READ THE MANUAL PROVIDED. ROASTING COFFEE CAN EASILY LEAD TO FIRES AND INJURY IF NOT USED PROPERLY SO SAFETY IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
THIS ROASTING GUIDE WILL COVER THE BASICS OF ROASTING ON THE FRESH ROAST SR340.

1.

REMOVE TOP CAP AND CHAFF BASKET

NOTE: The Fresh Roast machine is extremely top heavy. The chaff collector and glass chamber are only secured by gravity and can be easily tipped over and broken. Always remove the chaff collector and glass roasting chamber before moving the machine.
POURING AND WEIGHING GREEN COFFEE

WEIGH OUT DESIRED AMOUNT OF GREEN COFFEE.

WE RECOMMEND 4OZ BATCHES.
POURING GREEN COFFEE INTO  FRESH ROAST SR340

LOAD YOUR PRE-WEIGHED GREEN COFFEE INTO THE GLASS ROASTING CHAMBER
FRESH ROAST SR340 WITH COFFEE LOADED

PLACE TOP CAP AND CHAFF BASKET BACK ON TOP OF GLASS ROASTING CHAMBER.
SWITCHING TO HEAT ON FRESH ROAST SR340

TOGGLE TEMP SWITCH TO "HEAT"
PRESSING UP BUTTON ON FRESH ROAST SR340

5.

USE THE UP AND DOWN ARROWS TO ADJUST ROAST TIME.

WE RECOMMEND STARTING WITH 6 MINUTES.

SET FAN SPEED TO HIGH
PRESSING RUN BUTTON ON FRESH ROAST SR340

PRESS THE RUN BUTTON TO BEGIN ROAST

AFTER THE ROAST REACHES FIRST CRACK (ABOUT 1.9 MINUTES REMAINING) LOWER THE FAN SPEED TO MEDIUM/HIGH (ABOUT 3 O'CLOCK ON THE DIAL)
4 MINUTES INTO ROAST ON FRESH ROAST SR340
4 MINUTES
5 MINUTES INTO ROAST ON FRESH ROAST SR340
5 MINUTES
6 MINUTES INTO ROAST ON FRESH ROAST SR340
6 MINUTES
AFTER YOUR TOTAL TIME HAS ELAPSED, THE ROASTER WILL AUTOMATICALLY ENTER A 3 MINUTE COOL DOWN PHASE.

ONCE THE COOLING PHASE HAS COMPLETED AND THE ROASTER HAS SUFFICIENTLY COOLED, REMOVE THE TOP CAP AND CHAFF BASKET FROM THE ROASTER.

CAREFULLY REMOVE THE GLASS ROASTING CHAMBER.
POURING OUT ROASTED COFFEE FROM FRESH ROAST SR340 CHAMBER

10.

WEIGH OUT THE ROASTED COFFEE AND NOTE YOUR RESULTS ON YOUR BODHI LEAF ROAST LOG.

REMOVE TOP CAP FROM CHAFF BASKET AND CLEAN OUT CHAFF TO PREPARE FOR NEXT ROAST.
