Description: In 2012, Claudia Vanessa Rivera and her husband founded Finca La Virgen with a vision for producing exceptional coffee while creating a lasting, positive impact on both the environment and their local community. Today that vision reaches beyond the farm itself, supporting local employment and investing in the future of coffee production in northern Nicaragua.
Located in the Las Nubes community of Jinotega at 1,270 meters above sea level, the 40-hectare farm is planted primarily with Caturra and Catuai, alongside carefully managed experimental plots of Java, Pacamara, Maracaturra, Maragogipe, and Gesha. Claudia and her team oversee every stage of production, from harvest through processing in their own wet and dry mills, maintaining meticulous quality standards that have fueled the farm's growth over the years.
The result is a bright, clean, and sweet cup with lively acidity and notes of Graham Cracker, Red Apple, & Stone Fruit — the kind of balance and consistency that reflects Claudia's hands-on approach to every harvest.
