Description: Capetinga Farm sits in Boa Esperança in the Sul de Minas region at 950 meters elevation, and has generational ties to the Junqueira family. Eduardo Junqueira Junior is a fifth-generation coffee producer, now managing Capetinga alongside his father and his son, who represents the sixth generation on this land. That kind of continuity shows in how the farm is run.
What sets Capetinga apart is their commitment to regenerative agriculture, a practice Eduardo has been building for the past five years and one that positions the farm as a genuine pioneer of the model in Brazil. Beyond caring for the land, it's a philosophy — ecological corridors connecting conservation areas that are larger than required, organic mineral fertilizers, CO2 neutralization, and utilizing renewable energy,.
Capetinga is Rainforest Alliance certified, and grows Mundo Novo, Yellow Catuaí, Red Catuaí, Yellow Catucaí, Acaia, Topázio, Icatu, and Catucai (like this lot) across 565 planted hectares.
In addition to coffee, the Junqueira family produces a high-quality wine called Maria Maria, in honor of musician Milton Nascimento, who spent part of his life in Três Pontas and became a great family friend.
