Description: This versatile lot comes to Bodhi Leaf from Alta Mogiana, a region in Brazil known for very high quality with its growing area reaching over 1,200 MASL. Fazenda São João is owned and operated by João Carlos Pieroni alongside his family, and for this naturally processed lot they sorted it down to only peaberry coffee, which is a genetic mutation where inside of the coffee cherry there is one rounded bean instead of the normal two half circle beans. This doesn’t always have a big impact on flavor, just more of a unique visual characteristic. In the cup, we think this Peaberry is very sweet with Chocolatey and sweet Nutty notes.
