Description:Established in 2019, this Gesha region farm is lesser known compared to Yirgacheffe or Guji, but its varieties are exceptional. The famed Gesha 1931 and its sibling, Gori Gesha—one of the oldest known coffee varieties—originate from the nearby Gori Gesha Forest, just 20 minutes from the farm.

Owned by our export partner, the farm tightly controls picking and processing, producing everything from anaerobics and carbonic macerations to traditional naturals. This lot underwent a 96-hour carbonic maceration in barrels before drying 16 days on raised beds. Thanks to the region’s warm climate, naturals develop beautifully here.

Alongside its “Wine” processed sister lot, this coffee is vibrant, fruity, and truly distinctive—perfect if you’re seeking something uncommon.

My holy grail!

Years ago I received a free cup of coffee because I’m a mother and it was Mother’s Day. It was a transformative moment. Unfortunately , the establishment that gave me this elixir stopped carrying it. All they could tell me about it was that it was Ethiopian. Thus began my years-long crusade. I started roasting my own coffee, because, as I was to learn, there’s Ethiopian coffee, and there’s Ethiopian coffee. I tried making coffee that came from every corner of the country, but nothing came close. I thought that I had to be roasting it the wrong way. Finally, with an ending like a rom-com or a children's picture book, Bodhi sent me an email with a smiling woman with a basket of coffee beans. I ordered it, and the rest is history. There's an important addendum to this happy tale. i found that the sweet, fruitly flavor was too intense on its own, so I blend it with a less pungent coffee.

WOW!

This one is insane! I did 2 small profile roasts and the faster, shorter roast with 10% dev is so fruity and vibrant! Full of mandarin orange and floral notes. This one is special!
