Description: Coffee production at Rancho Grande Farm began in 1933 when Mr. Aneite Reis inherited 5 hectares of land. Over the years, the farm has evolved, continuously enhancing its production techniques through the dedicated efforts of its management team. Today, it is overseen by José Carlos Reis and his son Flávio Reis, who represent the second and third generations of the Reis family. The farm’s mission is to responsibly produce the highest quality coffee while prioritizing environmental protection and the well-being of its employees. Their commitment to excellence drives them to consistently improve the quality of their coffee, ensuring customer satisfaction remains at the forefront of their endeavors.

This special batch of coffee underwent a meticulous fermentation process using the renowned "grão boião," carefully separated by a screen after washing. The beans were fermented in a static box dryer for 48 hours. After fermentation, the coffee underwent a slow drying process in the same dryer until reaching the ideal moisture level.

Bought this looking for a cheaper alternative to the pricier funky anaerobic coffees on the market. It doesn’t inherently have a fruity profile, but the anaerobic qualities are present. Tastes a bit more on the bready, grain spectrum rather than fruit, which gives it a little bit of a savory taste. I’m not sure if the process is meant for this fruit, it just seems a little bit forced to me. Comparing this to other anaerobics I’ve purchased from Bodhi Leaf, this is the least thrilling by far. Good price point, just expect a lower quality cup.

Fruity daily drinker

This roasts up pleasantly fruity. I get citrus notes with a little chocolate in the background and maybe some graham cracker. Haven't tried my full city + roast yet, but would definitely buy again.

farm to cup

We get our beans from the farms and roast coffee daily. We truly are farm to cup.
